Having spent twenty-seven plus years in the executive search industry, David has learned what makes a strong, long-term match between his clients and candidates. He has transitioned the business in the past ten years to focus on private equity/privately held growth companies who seek true “difference makers” for their brands, organization, and businesses.
Specializing in the Consumer Packaged Goods industry, David is proud to call Craft Brew Alliance, Seventh Generation, Yuengling, General Cigar, Barilla, Sahale Snacks, Columbus Foods, and Zing Zang a few of his long-term clients. In addition, David has helped staff well known companies such as Dr. Fresh, Horizon Organic, Wise Snacks, Sahale Snacks, Seventh Generation, Burts Bees, Paris Presents, and Kettle Chips prior to successful private equity events.
Candidates and clients alike have come to appreciate David’s passion for the business, his objective view of the intangibles which are so important to a good match as well as his overall sense of fairness to both parties, and his ability to facilitate a well managed process.
David’s experience in executive search began in 1989 with Atlanta-based Lucas Group, where David worked through the ranks from Recruiter to Senior Partner, and finally as a Managing Partner in the Atlanta office for six years. In December of 1999 David left to begin Youngerman Search Partners, Inc., a “boutique” firm specializing in upper & mid level searches in the Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, and General Management functions.

Prior to entering the executive search industry, David spent several years in management with the Ernest & Julio Gallo Winery thereby giving David a unique perspective of the consumer products industry and giving him a clearer understanding of the individual searches.
A native of Decatur, Ga., David is a proud Father of two- Julianna, 28 and Andrew, 21. He and his family currently reside in Athens, Ga. where he enjoys quality family time, good & bad rounds of golf, as well as the Georgia mountain’s and coast.
